The News:<\/span><\/b> The Wisconsin Court of Appeals has granted WILL\u2019s motion for permissive appeal, putting on hold a costly, pointless, and incoherent jury trial. WILL\u2019s client, Scarlett Johnson, is a Wisconsin Moms for Liberty activist who is being sued for defamation for criticizing her school district on social media for employing a \u201csocial justice coordinator.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Quotes: <\/span><\/b>WILL Deputy Counsel, Luke Berg, stated, \u201cFor now, this unwarranted jury trial has been put on hold. Scarlett was expressing her opinion on her school district and her government \u2014 the First Amendment gives her the right to do so. We stand ready to make our case before the Court of Appeals.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
