The district required staff members to use the preferred names and pronouns of transgender students; however, after voicing his religious objection to this rule, this teacher\u2019s contract was not renewed, effectively firing him from his job.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unfortunate that such lawsuits need to be filed, but thankfully WILL is taking on these cases. Public school employees do not give up their constitutional rights when they walk in the school door. A judge who is not a judicial activist should find this case pretty easy.
