What happened?<\/strong>\u00a0The Joint Finance Committee (JFC) announced the dates of their biennial \u201cRoad Show\u201d. Starting in April, the Committee will hold four listening sessions at various locations around the state.<\/p>\n

Why is it important?<\/strong> The state\u2019s biennial budget affects the lives of all Wisconsinites \u2013 from taxes, to education, to the general functions of state government. These listening sessions are an opportunity for anyone interested in the budget to engage with lawmakers and have their voices heard. These listening sessions mark the last part of the budget process before JFC starts making decisions on what will be (or not be) in the budget.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next?<\/strong> The road show kicks off on April 5th:<\/p>\n
