ALERT! State Supreme Court Protects $50M in Literacy Funding<\/b><\/p>\n

Wisconsin has a chance to get reading right for kids\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

DELAFIELD, WI:<\/b> Following news today that the Wisconsin Supreme Court retains control over $50 million in literacy funding, IRG\u2019s CEO CJ Szafir issued the following statement:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Court\u2019s ruling gives Wisconsin a chance to get reading right for kids. As the Legislature intended, the $50 million should first go to reimburse curriculum purchases and teacher training. Delaying payment until 2026, as DPI has proposed, is simply not what leading literacy states do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
