{"id":12693,"date":"2024-09-13T10:00:07","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T10:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=12693"},"modified":"2024-09-13T15:59:31","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T15:59:31","slug":"wi-voter-id-loop-hole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=12693","title":{"rendered":"WI Voter ID Loop Hole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post originally appeared at <a href=\"https:\/\/wifamilycouncil.org\/radio\/wi-voter-id-loop-hole\/\">https:\/\/wifamilycouncil.org\/radio\/wi-voter-id-loop-hole\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty released a report last week revealing a concerning Voter ID loophole in Wisconsin law that would allow over one hundred and forty thousand individuals to submit absentee ballots without showing ID because they are classified as \u201cindefinitely confined.\u201d The rate of indefinitely confined individuals is one hundred and sixteen percent higher than it was in twenty sixteen.<\/p>\n<p>Voters should not be able to independently determine whether they meet the requirements to claim they are indefinitely confined and can thus receive absentee ballots in perpetuity without providing a photo ID. The law requires a witness verification in lieu of a Voter ID, but that\u2019s subject to gross fraud.
