{"id":14085,"date":"2024-11-20T15:26:26","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T16:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=14085"},"modified":"2024-11-20T17:01:12","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T17:01:12","slug":"will-race-prioritization-by-usda-needs-to-be-stopped","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=14085","title":{"rendered":"WILL: Race Prioritization by USDA Needs To Be Stopped"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post originally appeared at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsinrightnow.com\/race-prioritization-by-usda\/\">https:\/\/www.wisconsinrightnow.com\/race-prioritization-by-usda\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1068\" height=\"713\" src=\"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Collage-Maker-11-Oct-2023-10-56-PM-5829.jpg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Wisconsin School Choice Opponents\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(The Center Square) \u2013 Citing discrimination against nonminorities in farming assistance programs, the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty has filed an amicus brief in support of plaintiff Robert Holman&#8217;s litigation against the U.S. Department of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s a corn and soybean farmer.<\/p>\n<p>The institute is calling on the incoming Trump administration to address the issue among other federal agencies as well.<\/p>\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/will-law.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/FILED-Brief.pdf\">amicus brief<\/a> supporting Holman, the conservative-leaning institute says prioritizing members of races deemed \u201csocially disadvantaged\u201d in taxpayer-funded assistance programs is unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the Biden administration, race discrimination infected every nook and cranny of the federal government,\u201d Deputy Counsel Dan Lennington of the Institute for Law and Liberty said. \u201cThese programs impact Americans and small businesses every day. The new Congress and administration should immediately dismantle each one of these discriminatory programs.
