Earlier this month, the WIAA and the NCAA updated their policies to comply with President Trump\u2019s executive order barring biological males from competing in women\u2019s and girls\u2019 sports. The purpose of this bill is to ensure Trump\u2019s policy is codified into state law if a future president overturns the executive order.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump has reaffirmed many traditional values through executive orders, but our state and federal legislators are right to introduce bills that would codify these values into law for a longer-lasting impact. Women and girls should be protected in athletics not just for the next four years, but permanently.
