Since releasing a previous version of this bill two years ago,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/segm.org\/England-UK-Puberty-Blockers-Cross-Sex-Hormones-Policy-March-2024#:~:text=On%20March%2012%2C%202024%2C%20NHS,gender%20dysphoria%20through%20the%20NHS.\">medical authorities in England<\/a>\u00a0completed a comprehensive review of evidence on the effects of puberty suppressants, cross-sex hormones, and gender transition surgery on minors. Their medical decision was to ban these procedures for minors.<\/p>\n<p>As Representative Allen says, \u201cChildren who struggle with gender identity deserve help, not harm.\u201d More and more studies show the harm of these drugs and procedures and more and more young people who\u2019ve gone down this path are telling us they regret their decision.
