Researchers determined that in a Ohio, a city where only 34% of parents were married, 12 times more violent crimes were committed than in a similar city with 86% of married parents. To address the sharp rise in child poverty, violence, and poor educational outcomes, states should incentivize married parents and support intact families.<\/p>\n<p>Marriage as God designed it, brings glory to God and good for humankind. When married families never form or are broken, individuals and communities, states, and a nation are hurt.
