It\u2019s already working. Hang tough, we can\u2019t lose!!!\u201d the president wrote in all caps on Truth Social Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Trump unveiled a series of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/national\/article_8d16d05f-ccf8-498e-a521-808d17a33d68.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reciprocal tariffs<\/a>\u00a0on countries that have for years been placing tariffs on U.S. imports. While the markets\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/national\/article_20573298-9c41-45a7-8b5d-2615ba81229b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reacted negatively<\/a>\u00a0to the tariffs and many economists say they will increase costs for U.S. consumers, Trump says his tariff plan will help bring back manufacturing and other jobs to the country.<\/p>\n<p>White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the numbers are evidence of Trump\u2019s policies, citing a \u201csharp increase in transportation, construction, and warehousing employment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGREAT NEWS! The economy is starting to roar with a strong 228,000 jobs added in the month of March \u2014 well ahead of the market\u2019s expectation,\u201d she wrote on Truth Social. \u201cThe President\u2019s push to onshore jobs here in the United States is working.
