However, many factors go into the decision to attend such a school. Take Lindsay Serrahn, a reading interventionist at St. Paul\u2019s in Algoma, for example. In addition to working at St. Paul\u2019s, she and her husband send their children there and are familiar with the school because her husband is an alumnus. Although Lindsay did not have a religious upbringing like her husband, she has no regrets about enrolling her children.<\/p>\n<p>Lindsay\u2019s reasons for working at and sending her children to St. Paul\u2019s run parallel. The school\u2019s size and connection with its local church allow her to develop genuine relationships with the community. As a staff member, she gets to know her students on a deeper level. As a parent, she knows her kids are in good hands with the friendly, approachable faculty and staff who want to see her children succeed.<\/p>\n<p>Lindsay has a friend who was skeptical about sending her children to a religious school, but was searching for a better alternative to the one they were currently attending. Through Lindsay\u2019s recommendation and assurance, her friend enrolled the children at St. Paul\u2019s and has not looked back.
