On behalf of their clients, WILL sued the Biden Administration over a retirement investing rule. The federal rule allows investment managers to consider environment, social, and governance, or ESG, purposes in their investment strategy, regardless of whether it\u2019s in the best interest of their clients. The lawsuit has been put on hold while the Trump Administration reviews the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This rule appears harmless, but when investment managers consider ESG factors in investment decisions they\u2019re allowed to focus on \u201csocial justice\u201d and DEI over economic advantage. Also, an individual\u2019s retirement savings could be invested in social causes they do not support.
