Flipping the script, Jim Dalrymple, writing for the Institute for Family Studies, instead described how his father was impacted by fatherhood. His father, who has eight children, said, \u201cThere\u2019s a sense of purpose when you get married\u2026and you make a commitment to that person, and you have children, and the commitment extends to them. It changes you.\u201d When a man becomes a father, he is entrusted with one of God\u2019s greatest blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">In Psalm 127:3 the Psalmist declares, \u201cBehold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb a reward.\u201d In a culture that seeks to devalue the honor of parenthood, it\u2019s good to recognize and rehearse that children bring parents irreplaceable meaning and immense blessings.
