To pay for this additional funding, the governor now has the power to increase the property tax levy limit without any input from the Legislature. The new bill, however, proposes eliminating the per-pupil adjustment altogether, thus ending this unchecked spending.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Unfortunately, the state supreme court has allowed this egregious overreach of Governor Evers\u2019 veto. Creating laws is not the governor\u2019s nor the court\u2019s job; it\u2019s the legislature\u2019s, which is exactly what these lawmakers are doing with this proposal.
