The analysis shows this budget contains the largest spending increase this century, creates a long-term structural deficit, and slams Wisconsin residents with billions of dollars of hidden taxes and fees. The new budget virtually wipes out the 4.4-billion-dollar surplus and puts the state on the path to a massive structural deficit in the next three years at the latest, along with borrowing over 3 billion dollars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This analysis shows there is plenty of blame to go around for this unprecedented spending increase, including allowing the unelected Legislative Fiscal Bureau unchecked power over final decisions. Assuming MacIver\u2019s right, this budget will hurt Wisconsin\u2019s best resource\u2014her families\u2014which will ultimately hurt the state.
