In 2021, the Madison Metropolitan School District implemented a scoring system that rates teachers in part based on their commitment to vague \u201cculturally responsive practices,\u201d rather than excellence. Although Bishop\u2019s record was flawless, the district used this scoring system, that rewards teachers for favoring students of one race over another, to justify the transfer.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Students need teachers who are passionate about providing the best education possible, not teachers committed to pushing DEI initiatives. The classroom should never be a venue for racial discrimination.
