{"id":2101,"date":"2023-03-07T13:57:09","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T14:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=2101"},"modified":"2023-04-12T15:01:32","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T15:01:32","slug":"left-attacks-kellys-religious-convictions-conservatives-must-respond-with-support-votes-for-kelly-for-wi-supreme-court-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=2101","title":{"rendered":"LEFT ATTACKS KELLY\u2019S RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS\u2026..CONSERVATIVES MUST RESPOND WITH SUPPORT &amp; VOTES FOR KELLY FOR WI SUPREME COURT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post originally appeared at <a href=\"https:\/\/wiconservativedigest.com\/left-attacks-kellys-religious-convictions-conservatives-must-respond-with-support-votes-for-kelly-for-wi-supreme-court\/\">https:\/\/wiconservativedigest.com\/left-attacks-kellys-religious-convictions-conservatives-must-respond-with-support-votes-for-kelly-for-wi-supreme-court\/<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-featured-image-rec\">\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wiconservativedigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/VOTE-2.jpg\" data-caption><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" alt title=\"VOTE-2\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/VOTE-2-696x464-1.jpg\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/VOTE-2-696x464-1.jpg\" alt title=\"VOTE-2\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A March 2, 2023, article by Bill Lueders on <a href=\"http:\/\/wisconsinexaminer.com\/\">WisconsinExaminer.com<\/a>, titled <strong><em>\u201cDan Kelly\u2019s divine inspiration\u201d,<\/em><\/strong> criticizes Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Dan Kelly for his religious beliefs and convictions.<\/p>\n<p>What is so vile about Dan Kelly\u2019s religious convictions that the article must warn readers about them?\u00a0 Hold onto your hats folks, here are some of the terrible things the article points to about Dan Kelly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The religious convictions held by Kelly in 1991 are the same convictions Kelly holds in 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Kelly \u201cwarned that allowing same-sex couples to wed <em>\u201cwill eventually rob the institution of marriage of any discernible meaning\u201d.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Kelly \u201ccalled abortion <em>\u201ca policy that has as its primary purpose harming children\u201d.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Kelly attended Regent University Law School, part of Regent University founded in 1986 by religious leader Pat Robertson<\/li>\n<li>Kelly <em>\u201cremains deeply committed to the idea that all law comes from God and that God doesn\u2019t change his mind about anything\u201d.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>\u201c\u2026..Whether it be about reproductive rights, or redistricting, or the regulation of businesses, or restrictions on guns \u2014 Kelly\u2019s hands are tied, and it is God who has tied them.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>In answering his own question of \u201cWhere do our rights come from?\u201d, Kelly said the correct answer was God, not government, citing the Declaration of Independence, which sets forth that \u201call men \u2026 are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interestingly, although not a surprise, this far-left-biased article takes a different tack with Kelly\u2019s opponent for Wisconsin Supreme Court, Janet Protasiewicz.\u00a0 The article offers that Sam Roecker, a spokesperson for the Protasiewicz campaign, issued a statement to the Examiner regarding Kelly\u2019s affiliation with Regent University and his religiously charged writing, which in part states, <em>\u201c\u2026Judge Janet personally follows her Catholic faith and is also a proud graduate of Marquette University Law School\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So Protasiewicz following her \u201cCatholic faith\u201d is to be lauded, but Kelly following his faith is to be criticized?\u00a0 Certainly not the first or last time the far-left will\u00a0speak out of both sides of their\u00a0mouth.<\/p>\n<p>But wait!\u00a0 Is Janet Protasiewicz even following her \u201cCatholic faith?\u201d\u00a0 Protasiewicz has loudly trumpeted her \u201cvalues\u201d, as she calls them, including her support for Roe v. Wade and the right to abortion.\u00a0 However, unless something drastically changed in the past week, the Catholic Church remains very much against abortion, which then raises the question as to whether Janet Protasiewicz is following her \u201cCatholic faith\u201d as her campaign so loudly professes.\u00a0 And when Roe v.
