\u201cThere\u2019s two candidates that can win the nomination; <\/span>Trump<\/a><\/span> and me. And I would say that I\u2019m the only one that can win both the nomination and the general election,\u201d <\/span>DeSantis<\/a><\/span><\/strong> said tonight on the WRN podcast<\/strong> <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Gov. Ron DeSantis argued that he would be a better president than Donald Trump on spending, personnel, and because he could serve a second term, providing consistency.<\/p>\n

Appearing on the Wisconsin Right Now podcast, DeSantis ruled out being Trump\u2019s running mate and ruled out Robert F. Kennedy Jr. being his, said that he believes he\u2019s the only GOP candidate who can win the primary AND the general election, and accused the media of creating a false narrative that his campaign is stumbling out of the gate because they fear him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to support the <\/span>Republican<\/a><\/span> nominee,\u201d <\/span>DeSantis<\/a><\/span> said when asked if he would support <\/span>Trump<\/a><\/span> if Trump is the nominee. On RFK Jr., DeSantis said he would pick a conservative running mate if he\u2019s the nominee, and RFK Jr. is a Democrat on the \u201cbulk\u201d of issues. But he said there are places where he and RFK Jr. align, such as opposition to Dr. Fauci.<\/span><\/div>\n

We asked\u00a0 <\/span>DeSantis<\/a><\/span> whether he would ever be willing to be Donald <\/span>Trump<\/a><\/span>\u2018s running mate. He said: \u201cI don\u2019t think so. I don\u2019t think I\u2019m a number two guy. I think I\u2019m a leader, governor of Florida, I\u2019ve accomplished a lot. I think I could do more staying there than being VP, which doesn\u2019t really have any authority.\u201d We asked him to name two people he might pick as his running mate if he\u2019s the nominee, and he declined to say, asking WRN who we think he should pick.<\/span><\/p>\n
