The Lawsuit: <\/strong>The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) filed a lawsuit against a San Antonio-based government program called the \u201cBexar County Small Business Assistance Program.\u201d WILL alleges that the $10 million program discriminates against small business owners based on race. The lawsuit names Bexar County, the home of San Antonio, and Liftfund Inc., a non-profit charged by the county to administer the program.<\/p>\n

Background:<\/strong> WILL sent a letter\u00a0to Bexar County and its County Manager, David Smith, condemning its racially discriminatory \u201cSmall Business Assistance Program.\u201d Bexar County is using $10 million of federal tax dollars to support small businesses; but the program discriminates against many businesses based on race, including WILL client DigitalDesk, Inc. WILL\u2019s letter notified the county that it would file a lawsuit on behalf of DigitalDesk if the discrimination did not stop.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
