The lawsuit cites reports that social media companies deliberately design their products to be addicting for students and also highlights studies about social media algorithms and how they can potentially influence students&#8217; perceptions of their appearances.<\/p>\n<p>This type of lawsuit puts social media providers on alert that parents, educators, and others are seeing the link between increased mental health issues among youth and their internet platforms.
