The competition, sponsored by Johnson Financial Group, highlights the state\u2019s $70 billion dollar manufacturing industry and the high-tech, high-skill and high-pay career opportunities available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach year, this competition connects manufacturers with their local communities, generating public engagement and excitement,\u201d said WMC\u2019s Vice President of Communications &amp; Marketing Nick Novak. \u201cManufacturers employ nearly 500,000 Wisconsinites and produce some incredible products, and we appreciate the opportunity to showcase their work and draw attention to what happens right here in our backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.madeinwis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/09\/CoolestThing_List-of-Nominees_2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 nominees<\/a><\/span> represent every corner of the state and a wide array of industries, including industrial equipment, food products, recreational gear, home goods, high-tech innovations and much more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWisconsin is a national leader in manufacturing, which wouldn\u2019t be possible without the hardworking and innovative employees in the state\u2019s top industry,\u201d Novak continued. \u201cThis year\u2019s nominees demonstrate not only how many cool things Wisconsinites produce, but also the career opportunities and economic output of the entire manufacturing industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A popular vote round, beginning Monday, Sept. 18, will determine the Top 16 products that will compete in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness. During each of the rounds, the public is encouraged to vote once per day, per device at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.madeinwis.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.madeinwis.com<\/a><\/span>.
