This bill, passed along party lines in both the Assembly and the Senate earlier this fall, would have prohibited medical professionals from performing so-called \u201cgender affirming\u201d surgeries on or prescribing cross-sex hormones or puberty blockers for minors struggling with gender confusion.<\/p>\n<p>The governor has repeatedly said he\u2019s all about the kids, yet he vetoes a bill that would have truly helped, not harmed kids. This was about pandering to a political agenda that the Governor is beholden to in part because of his personal worldview and in part because of those who have funded his campaign.
