{"id":7987,"date":"2024-01-02T10:00:48","date_gmt":"2024-01-02T11:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=7987"},"modified":"2024-01-02T11:58:27","modified_gmt":"2024-01-02T11:58:27","slug":"men-in-female-sports-could-violate-international-human-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wifamily.news\/?p=7987","title":{"rendered":"Men in Female Sports Could Violate International Human Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post originally appeared at <a href=\"https:\/\/wifamilycouncil.org\/radio\/men-in-female-sports-could-violate-international-human-rights\/\">https:\/\/wifamilycouncil.org\/radio\/men-in-female-sports-could-violate-international-human-rights\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Christian post reports that Reem Alsalem, a United Nations-affiliated expert is warning the US government that proposed changes to longstanding US law that would allow trans-identified males to compete in women&#8217;s sports could cause the U.S. to violate &#8220;international human rights obligation\u201d and \u201cwould lead to the loss of privacy, an increased risk of physical injury, heightened exposure to sexual harassment and voyeurism, as well as a more frequent and accumulated psychological distress due to the loss of privacy and fair and equal sporting and academic opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While these changes were originally proposed this past April, they have not yet been officially adopted.
