In addition to his role as Director of Tax, Transportation &amp; Legal Affairs, Umpir will also serve as the organization\u2019s General Counsel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvan has been a terrific part of the government relations team since joining WMC in 2021,\u201d said WMC Executive Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley. \u201cWe are excited for him to serve our members and staff in this new capacity while continuing to fight for a competitive business climate here in Wisconsin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining WMC, Umpir worked in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on transportation security issues and policy.
