WEC.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>The Quotes:\u00a0<\/strong>Rick Esenberg, WILL President and General Counsel, stated, \u201cThis matter was settled two years ago and there is no need to redraw the congressional maps. The request to redraw these maps was both procedurally improper and legally wrong,\u00a0and we are glad the Court has declined the invitation to revisit this matter.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Petitioner\u2019s Motion Was Meritless:\u00a0<\/strong>The current congressional maps\u2014proposed by Governor Evers and adopted by the Court in 2022\u2014are constitutional and comply with all applicable state and federal laws. While the Supreme Court recently found that the state legislative district maps from 2022 were unconstitutional because they were not literally contiguous, that is not so for the Congressional maps.
