(AP) \u2014 The liberal-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday rejected a Democratic lawsuit that sought to throw out the battleground state\u2019s congressional maps, marking a victory for Republicans who argued against the court taking up the case.<\/p>\n<p>The decision leaves the state\u2019s current congressional district boundaries in place for the November election.<\/p>\n<p>The decision not to hear the congressional challenge comes after the court in December\u00a0<a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/wisconsin-supreme-court-redistricting-eccbcfee414d1943073a9fb949743860\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-ylk=\"slk:ordered new legislative maps;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-rapid_p=\"14\" data-v9y=\"1\">ordered new legislative maps<\/a>, saying the Republican-drawn ones were unconstitutional. The GOP-controlled Legislature, out of fear that the court would order maps even more unfavorable to Republicans, passed ones drawn by Democratic Gov.
