WILL doesn\u2019t take stances in favor or against candidates, rather WILL supports the rule of law and the fair application of Constitutional standards that govern our elections.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>The SCOTUS decision made clear that States\u00a0cannot\u00a0(and, for the majority, only Congress\u00a0can)\u00a0enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment against federal officeholders.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>The Quote:<\/strong> Rick Esenberg, WILL President and General Counsel, stated,\u00a0 \u201cThe Supreme Court\u2019s decision today avoided the terrible chain reaction of states disqualifying former President Trump, and then other states perhaps retaliating against President Biden. That all nine justices joined in this outcome provides much needed unanimity.
