In a recent opinion piece in The New York Times, Doctor Vivek Murthy said that social media is a contributing factor in the mental health crisis among young people. This would require congressional action to make the suggestion a reality.
This is the Biden administration’s top medical official telling us social media is having a negative impact on young people. This isn’t a radical conservative giving this message. We hope parents are getting the message that to protect their kids they need to limit and monitor online time and access. It’s not an invasion of privacy; it’s about being a loving parent.
