Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty recently released a report highlighting the significant fiscal impact eliminating Act Ten could have on Wisconsin municipalities. Act Ten limits the power of public sector unions to extract money from state taxpayers, but a recently filed lawsuit with the Wisconsin Supreme Court seeks to reverse the landmark legislation enacted by Governor Scott Walker in 2011.

Repealing Act Ten would cost local governments about four hundred and eighty million dollars per year and would either require cutting crucial services or drastically increasing property taxes. Act Ten serves Wisconsin families by keeping property taxes low, which helps families remain or become independent of government. Independent families make for a strong state.
