Less than two weeks away from the April 4 election, WMC hosted a webinar with former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson to discuss the workforce advisory referendum on the ballot statewide. The referendum asks if able-bodied childless adults should be required to look for work in order to receive taxpayer-funded welfare benefits.
In its coverage of the webinar, Spectrum News 1 clarified that the referendum, while non-binding, may be used by lawmakers to argue for policy changes.
