The US Department of Health and Human Services published a review this month examining the evidence for and against so-called “gender-affirming care” for gender-confused children. Researchers found that the studies currently used to justify these interventions are severely lacking in evidence. The Department advised healthcare professionals and parents to refrain from administering or approving this form of care until there is real evidence that can confirm or reject the theorized benefits of these surgeries and hormones.

Finally, our government is taking an honest look at the harmful effects of these protocols that are touted as helping children. Experimental hormone therapies and life-altering surgeries should never have been approved for them. Hopefully, this review is another step towards protecting children and families from the lies of harmful gender ideology.
