Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” In this verse, God’s Word presents fathers with the immense responsibility to instruct their children in biblical truth. This one task gives a father’s influence eternal impact. As Father’s Day approaches this Sunday, let’s remember to thank and honor the fathers, grandfathers, and other father-like figures who have impacted our lives for now and for eternity.

American culture often diminishes the importance of fathers, but God’s Word clearly indicates that fathers have an indispensable role in the family. We hope all the fathers in Wisconsin and across the country never forget the value of their influence. From all of us at Wisconsin Family Council, Happy Father’s Day to all the dads!
