A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that treatment and survival rates are rising for infants born at just 22 and 23 weeks gestation. The study analyzed trends from 2014 to 2023 and found that as doctors have increased life-saving care measures for these babies, their survival rates have risen from 25.7% to 41%. Since most doctors consider 24 weeks the age of viability, this study presents an important new perspective.

Pro-abortion advocates actively tell women that their child is nothing more than a clump of cells until the age of viability, or even until birth, but this study tells a different story. The unborn are human beings created in God’s image from the moment of conception, and babies born at every stage of development deserve life-saving care.
