Sophie Anderson, writing for Institute for Family Studies says, “One reason so many young women today have a negative view of marriage and family is that we have been taught to blame the institution of marriage rather than take responsibility for it.” She elaborates, “Changing the narrative starts with promoting research and information that demonstrate that marriage and family-life are still fulfilling for those who partake in them. These bedrock institutions have not changed. We have.”

Anderson is exactly right—research continues to prove that God’s design for marriage and family still works beautifully, and as Anderson says our culture must, “reclaim them and reap their priceless benefits once more.” Families and churches are the very best place for that reclaiming to happen.
