A Fond du Lac Verizon store crash has left multiple people injured.
A car plowed “at a high rate of speed” into a Verizon Store in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, injuring five people, including one who was critically wounded, according to a press release from Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue.
The incident happened on April 27, 2023.
At 12:25 p.m., Fond du Lac Fire Rescue “responded to the Verizon Store at 467 N. Rolling Meadows Drive for a vehicle which struck the building,” the release says.
“Upon arrival crews found the vehicle had fully entered the building at a high rate of speed injuring several people. One critically injured person was transferred to Theda Star Helicopter which landed at the Fond du Lac County Airport,” the release notes.
“Four other patients were transported from the scene to a local hospital by Fond du Lac Fire Rescue Paramedic Ambulances.
Fond du Lac Fire Rescue was assisted by Theda Star Helicopter, North Fond du Lac Ambulance, City of Fond du Lac Police, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol,” the release says.
It does not provide the driver’s or victims’ names or ages or any additional information about why the driver drove into the Verizon store.
