WILL Praises “Substantial Victory” for Parental Choice in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) just released the following statement in following an announced agreement between GOP Legislative Leaders and Governor Evers:

Rick Esenberg, WILL President and General Counsel, stated, “Today we are proud to support this substantial victory for parental choice announced by Speaker Vos, Majority Leader LeMahieu and Governor Evers, and are grateful for their collaboration to make this a reality. These actions represent a substantial step towards ensuring that every child is valued equally, no matter where they live or what type of school they attend. Most importantly, this package will strengthen choices and empower Wisconsin families to choose the best education for their child.”

These steps will empower families and students to find and receive a quality education—no matter where they live. Today is an incredible step towards ensuring every child is valued equally, no matter what type of school door they may walk through.

While today is an incredible step forward, we will continue to look for ways to ensure all students in Wisconsin have access to quality schools that meet their needs.
