IRG’s plan would target middle class workers and their families by eliminating income tax on overtime wages and bonuses up to twenty-five hundred dollars. IRG says families will have more money in their pockets to deal with the rising prices of necessities like gas, energy, and groceries and will give an incentive for workers to help fill the state’s worker shortage.
Our state legislature and governor ought to always welcome innovative ideas that will help Wisconsin’s best natural resource, her families, remain or become strong and independent. Hopefully our elected officials will ultimately enact serious middle-class tax-relief. A strong Wisconsin requires families that thrive, not just survive.
