Lifesite news reports that earlier this month the City Council of Muenster, Texas, unanimously passed an “Ordinance Outlawing Abortion,” declaring Muenster a Safe Haven for the Unborn. The vote made Muenster the fifty-second Texas city and the sixth-ninth city in the nation to pass an enforceable ordinance prohibiting abortion. An attorney has agreed to represent the city at no cost for any litigation that may arise from the passage of this ordinance.

Here’s a great example of what can be done at the local level to protect life, especially now that the issue of abortion has come back to the states. This also highlights the importance of getting good people elected to local offices. The difference they can make is truly significant—sometimes even dealing with life and death issues.
