Wisconsin’s largest business group, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, released a new poll this week on some of the political races, as well as a handful of consumer issues. Scott Manley of WMC joined Jay Weber on WISN to discuss the findings of the poll, including Donald Trump’s six-point lead in the state and opinions on gas-powered engine mandates. The results indicate a shift of consumer behavior that dictate voter decisions. Manley discussed how businesses are looking to this election in regard to issues such as taxes, regulation, and more.

“For a lot of business owners, it’s get government out of the way; let the free market work,” Manley said. “We have world class manufacturers in this state that are being held back. They cannot release the full potential of their manufacturing ingenuity and innovation because government won’t allot them to. They want to see a competitive tax climate.”
