Wisconsin lawmakers are once again requesting records from the state Department of Transportation to verify that tens of thousands of foreign nationals holding driver’s licenses and state-issued ID cards will not be allowed to vote in the upcoming November election. This request comes on the heels of a lawsuit alleging the Wisconsin Election Commission has failed to verify the citizenship of voter registration applicants.

It is absolutely critical that the DOT and the WEC collaborate on this issue leading up to the November election and verify non-citizens will not be allowed to vote. Of course only US citizens have a constitutional right to vote, and it is the responsibility of the Wisconsin Election Commission to ensure the integrity of our swing state election.
