Breaks down potential impact of a new court composition
Delafield, WI – For years, Wisconsin conservatives have held a majority in the state Supreme Court, issuing a number of landmark decisions. In a memo released today, IRG’s Chief Legal Counsel and Director of Oversight Anthony LoCoco breaks down how a changing composition of the court could produce a seismic shift in Wisconsin case law, with the legal framework of individual rights and governmental powers as we know it changing dramatically.
The memo discusses a number of hot-button issues, including:
- Abortion
- Act 10
- Election Integrity
- Public Health Emergencies
- Redistricting
- Right to Work
- School Choice
- And more…
Free speech, the right to keep and bear arms, agency regulatory authority, and more are all potential subjects of review. Over the coming weeks, IRG will continue to monitor the state of Wisconsin’s third branch and provide analysis of how the Supreme Court’s decisions could affect Wisconsin families.
