State Representative Lindee Brill and State Senator Steve Nass recently introduced a bill that would prohibit gender-confused individuals from changing their biological sex on a birth certificate. As elected officials continue to push harmful gender ideology, Representative Brill says this provision will protect Wisconsin’s civil rights laws from manipulation and ambiguities, especially concerning women’s rights.

As lawmakers work at both the federal and state level to protect women’s spaces and sports from biological men, birth certificates must remain an accurate source of biological reality. Common sense and biology clearly declare that men and women are not the same. All laws and legal documents must reflect this objective truth.
